it's time for Winter White!

It's a little difficult to get people in Alabama to understand and accept the concept of winter white.  My heart is broken because of this, especially when one of my good friends found this GORGEOUS winter white skirt.  The positive is that I'm a broke college student so I can't feel too upset about not being able to buy it - but seriously, it's GORGEOUS!

Fashion Week Beauties

In honor of Fashion Week, I'm actually stalking all pictures related to the events.  This is one of my favorites so far.  I love ALL of their outfits - I wish I could be this stylish!  It always amazes me the eye that some people have.  I have so much to learn!

Missoni for Target

Everyone has seen the precious secret agent commercials showing off the new line for Target by Missoni!  In the newest online issue of WWD, Margherita, Rosita, and Angela Missoni are looking fabulous!  Margherita's dress is my personal favorite - but how beautiful are they!

Druzy stone

I discovered Druzy stone when I was at the beach in New Jersey and it's so pretty - sparkling, pretty colored crystals that have a rugged, beachy look to them.  I found this chunky bangle on anthropologie.com and it's so beautiful.  I'm categorizing it as my next must have.

a woman's miracle spray...

...seriously. My roommate and I heard about this wonder spray that sets your make up for hours on end and as it turns out - it's real!  Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray by Urban Decay has to be my new best friend, especially if I want my make up to survive in this 100 degree weather.  This is an absolute essential for game days and nights out on the town!  Simply spray it on your face in an X formation and then a T formation to cover all areas and you're set.  It also helps to keep your face cool - such a worthy purchase!

what could be better?

I love fashion because it is consistently based off of beauty.  No matter the theme of the shoot, the color of the fabrics, the weirdness and confusion, the levels of the lighting, the current tragedy of the world it is surrounded by, or the style - the final outcome is always beautiful.  No matter the pain in the personal life of the model or the designer - the goal is always beauty.  Truly, what could be better?

Lust vs. Must ULTIMATE find

What woman in this world wouldn't go crazy to own a piece designed by Van Cleef and Arpels?  The good news - the quality is amazing and the pieces are timeless and elegant beyond any words.  The bad news - their elegance makes them quite pricey.  As a college student, I can be pretty stingy in my purchases but I finally found a beautiful look-a-like that won't fall apart after 5 minutes of wear and won't tarnish or fade. Thanks to Bluefly.com, I've found the absolute best alternative. Clover pendants and long necklaces, much like the Alhambra collection (Van Cleef and Arpels), are now available thanks to Jardin, a much more affordable jewelry designer.

old school

typically, I overlook Coach's products, but their "new" Classic line is literally all I've ever wanted.  my mom used to have a bunch of vintage Gucci and Coach luggage and bags when she was younger and I occasionally nag her for not keeping them aka passing them down to her one and only daughter. But these bags look almost identical to Coach's classic styles from the 80's - and I'm in love.

and my two personal favorites (aka wish list)

currently obsessing over

TED BAKER iPAD CASES (pretty weird thing to obsess over...)
I don't even have an iPad, but I'm considering buying one purely so I can buy one of these adorable carrying cases for it. How CUTE are these!

Other patent leather colors - bright coral, turquoise, royal blue, and black - all with gold or silver zippers
I couldn't find the price, but I believe that they're less than $70

Katie Holmes for Ann Taylor

These shots are beautiful, Katie is beautiful, and (surprisingly) orange is beautiful...this season!

21st Birthday Surprise

After a great weekend in Tuscaloosa, I'm FINALLY 21!  I'm very excited to show off my newest and most beautiful edition to my bag collection.

Louis Vuitton Neverfull GM

It's probably the most beautiful thing I've ever owned!  I initially thought that the MM would be a great size, but I'll be in NYC for the semester in one year and need something that allows me to carry basically everything I own and this is truly PERFECT!  I fold in the sides to use it as a personal bag and then open them when I'm carrying a lot of items, very versatile!  I have the Speedy bag as well in the original print, but thought I'd go for something different with the Damier Ebene Leather Canvas!  The straps support up to 200 lbs and the entire bag is entirely hand-stitched...totally dependable!

two things...

...that I'm in love with this week

Halston Heritage Dresses

I couldn't fall asleep at all the other night because I was literally laying in bed thinking about these dresses.  These are perfect for Spring/Summer and are flouncy and so fun.  I'm actually DYING for every single one of these.

Lilly Reupholstered Chair

I'm not the biggest fan of Lilly Pulitzer but I LOVE this chair! Antique chairs are so dainty and feminine and this chair looks so adorable with with Lilly fabric!

lust vs. must

seeing as that I'm a college student, I am in no way made out of money but i can't stop myself from falling in love with beautiful pieces.  what DOES stop me is my bank account and this weekend I bought a more affordable option to my spring lust!

L U S T
Christian Louboutin
$895

M U S T
Tory Burch
$165

The Louboutin wedges are absolutely one of a kind, but i found myself falling in love with the laces on these espadrilles! The Tory's may not look much like the Louboutin's, but i certainly love them just as much! (and they are SO comfortable!)

spring things

my roommate thought it was funny when i received a package from Lithuania BUT it contained my first White Moth scarf :) I am completely obsessed with jewelry and accessories and always look for the most unique, creative, colorful, and stylish pieces.  I found White Moth on Twitter and ALL i want to do is order EVERY scarf that they make! The prices are amazing and the pieces are so fabulous.

i love the pewter jewelry with this pure white scarf. Sadly, i've never even thought about combining jewelry with a pretty scarf like this one! how does that make any sense...
(White Moth on Etsy - $16 plus shipping)

These are my two most recent loves.  i LOVE ruffles and flowers so  i feel as though these scarfs are made for me ;)

guilty...

...of spending way too much money yesterday, but these were so worth it!  Gearing up for Spring Break is a perfect excuse to add colorful additions to my (almost non existent) spring wardrobe.  I found these two pieces at The Perfect Touch in Tuscaloosa, AL and am so in love with them!
top by Karlie ($73)
Liberty bag by Big Buddha ($69)
The top is a very thin, flowing silk button down with elastic banding at the neckline.  The pattern of the silk caught my eye immediately.  I've never seen the splattered concept on a textile before and i absolutely love all of the colors incorporated in the print!
I bought a Big Buddha bag back in high school and really appreciated the quality for the price.  I love the size of the bag and how it resembles and over-sized clutch.  The length of the chain strap makes the bag totally versatile and can be worn as a shoulder bag or a cross body.
